On the afternoon of July 18th, the "2019 Southeast University Suzhou Campus Artificial Intelligence Enterprise Salon" was held at the Suzhou Campus. The event was hosted by the Suzhou Campus of Southeast University, the National University Science Park (Suzhou), and the National Technology Transfer (Suzhou) Center, and co-organized by the Research Institute of Southeast University, the School of Artificial Intelligence, and Xinhuidian (Suzhou) Technology Co., LTD. Yu Liyan, deputy director of the Science and Technology Investment Promotion Center of Suzhou Industrial Park, Wu Hanqian, executive vice dean of the School of Software of Southeast University (Suzhou), Huang Cheng, professor of the Suzhou Key Laboratory of Integrated Circuits and Systems, Zhou Zhiying, general manager of Suzhou Dreamman Technology Co., LTD., and Zhang Jinquan, secretary-general of the Communication Special Committee of the China Petroleum Society, respectively delivered policy introductions and special reports on artificial intelligence. More than 20 leaders and entrepreneurs from units such as Yue Haiping, the general manager of Suzhou University of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics Science and Technology Park Management Co., LTD., and Shen Lihan, the director of Suzhou Dushu Lake University Cooperation Development Bureau, participated in this event. The salon was hosted by Xu Jian, the director of the Science and Technology Management Office of Southeast University Suzhou Campus. Suzhou Miaohang Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to attend this artificial intelligence enterprise salon.

Zheng Jianyong, the director of the Suzhou Campus Management Committee, introduced that in accordance with President Zhang Guangjun's new development goals for the Suzhou Campus to become stronger and larger, and the new development concepts of high-end, international, localized and characteristic, the campus is currently actively building the School of Artificial Intelligence (Suzhou) and a large-scale public scientific research service platform. Relying on the School of Artificial Intelligence (School of Computer Science/School of Software), School of Electronics, School of Information, School of Automation, School of Instrumentation, School of Life Sciences and Medicine, School of Electrical Engineering, etc. of the university, we will jointly build public research service platforms in the fields of machine learning, data mining, image recognition, natural language processing, etc. with leading enterprises in Suzhou's industries (such as Microsoft Suzhou, etc.). Build the Suzhou campus into a distinctive platform highland for talent cultivation, scientific research, international cooperation, high-end talent introduction, incubation and technology transfer in the field of artificial intelligence. Within 3 to 5 years of operation, efforts will be made to build the School of Artificial Intelligence (Suzhou) into a national, ministerial and provincial-level engineering (technology) research center. The Suzhou Campus has developed a distinctive educational feature that integrates talent cultivation, scientific research, international cooperation, introduction of high-end talents, large-scale public scientific research service platforms, construction of key laboratories/research centers, incubation and technology transfer, industrial agglomeration, and comprehensive cooperation with leading enterprises.
